Is a Nice Muslim a Good Muslim?

After a murderous jihad at Fort Hood or the Christmas day airplane bombing attempt, did you hear: “Of course, not all Muslims are bad?” That brings up the question of how do you even tell if a Muslim is bad? Or good?

First off, what is a Muslim? A Muslim is a person who follows the doctrine of Islam. When that same person, does something that does not follow the doctrine of Islam, they are not a Muslim. The common idea is that anyone who says that they are a Muslim has their every action and word dictated by Islam. Put another way, every Muslim is seen as perfect follower of Islam at all times and circumstances. However, the truth is that a “Muslim” is not always a Muslim. When they do not follow Islamic doctrine, they are no longer a Muslim, but are a kafir (non-Muslim).

Now, how do we know if a Muslim is good or bad? If they are following the Koran and the Sunna (the perfect example of Mohammed), they are a good Muslim. If they don’t follow the doctrine, then they are not a Muslim. That means that from the stand point of Islam there is no such thing as a good or bad Muslim. You either are a Muslim or you are not. When anyone follows the Koran and the Sunna, they are Muslim. When anyone does not follow the doctrine of Islam then they are a kafir.

This means that a person called a Muslim has two modes of being-Muslim and kafir, or kafir-Muslim. The same person can be a Muslim in one moment and a kafir in the next.

What do kafirs mean by a good Muslim? Simple, the same way we judge all other people as good and bad-the Golden Rule. Do they follow the Golden Rule when they are with us? If so, then they are a good person.

Since the Koran and the Sunna do not have the Golden Rule, how are Muslims to treat us? Islamic doctrine lays out an alternative to the Golden Rule. Those who do not believe Mohammed are kafirs, and kafirs are treated differently from Muslims.

Islamic doctrine says a great deal about the kafir. Most of the Koran is about kafirs, 61%, only 39% is about Muslims. About 20% of the Hadith is about kafirs and 98% of the Sira is about kafirs. Mohammed was fixated on kafirs and annihilated every kafir by violence, exile or conversion. When Mohammed died, there was not a person alive in Arabia who would argue with him.

Mohammed’s actions are pure Islam; therefore, annihilating kafirs and kafir culture is pure Islam. A Muslim has to be, in some way, in some form of action, eliminating kafirs and their world. The action against kafirs is jihad. There are four flavors of jihad and murder is only one. Deception, conversation, articles and TV appearances can be jihad of speech and writing. There is always the option of giving to an Islamic charity, since one of the Koranic uses of charity is jihad.

Every Muslim believes that all nonbelievers are kafirs. The Koran says that kafirs may be hated, plotted against, deceived, murdered, raped, enslaved, mocked and tortured. All of those actions are Islam and perfect doctrine. When a person is being a good Muslim, they are following Islam and that means that you are a kafir. Hate, deception, murder, mockery and torture are bad for kafirs, but good for Muslims.

Kafirs are pure other. Muslims treat other Muslims as brothers and sisters, but they can treat a kafir well or they can treat them as less than an animal. Islam has dualistic ethics, one set of rules for Muslims and another set of rules for kafirs. Dualism is bad. When a Muslim practices dualism, they are bad. There is no good in Islam for a kafir and therefore, there is no good in a Muslim for a kafir.

Does this mean that the Muslim at work is bad? Yes, when they are following the doctrine of Islam. Whenever they are not following Islam, that person can be as good as any other. It is not about people, but about doctrine. It is the doctrine of Islam to be bad to kafirs. When anyone is practicing Islam around a kafir they must be bad, since Mohammed was never good to kafirs.

Wait! What about the nice, pious Muslim at work? He is good, isn’t he?

Is he nice because of the Golden Rule or is he practicing the Sunna of the charming Mohammed we find in the early Meccan days? Mohammed could be very polite with kafirs, however, if charm did not work, then other methods were used. Islam is a process of increasing force that can start out pleasantly.

We are left with an ethical confusion around any Muslim. They can seem pleasant, but nothing changes the fact that they see Mohammed as the perfect person to imitate. Nothing changes the fact that we are kafirs. Kafir is the worst word in the human language.

Whom are we to believe-the Muslim at work or Mohammed? Every Muslim wants to imitate Mohammed; every Muslim is a Mohammedan. The problem is that Mohammed annihilated every kafir he ever met. It was a process. The process started out nice and when nice did not work, it ended in annihilation of the kafir. In Islam, nice is the beginning of bad for the kafir.

So how do you tell if a nice Muslim is good or bad? From the kafir point-of-view, there is only the fact that a Muslim is following Mohammed’s example. And that is bad, very bad.

I would start by endorsing Jack’s comment: Bill made completely wrong statements about “bad Muslims”. There are many categories for Muslims with certain conduct, failures etc. in the Quran. And there are a few sins which make them left the fold of Islam. So he did not understood these categories at all.

Furhter, the language of the article and the comments of Democracyistheanswer as well as the name of Kafir-Harby clearly indicate that all the three persons are not unaware of the actual historical facts; but, unfortunately, they did not make statements honestly. As an example, I would quote the following statements made in the article, which are absolutely incorrect. Making such statements or ignoring to comment on their incorrectness is nothing but mala fide.

“A Muslim is a person who follows the doctrine of Islam. When that same person, does something that does not follow the doctrine of Islam, they are not a Muslim. ”
“Mohammed was fixated on kafirs and annihilated every kafir by violence, exile or conversion. When Mohammed died, there was not a person alive in Arabia who would argue with him.”
“The Koran says that kafirs may be hated, plotted against, deceived, murdered, raped, enslaved, mocked and tortured. All of those actions are Islam and perfect doctrine.”
“Muslims treat other Muslims as brothers and sisters, but they can treat a kafir well or they can treat them as less than an animal.”
“It is the doctrine of Islam to be bad to kafirs. When anyone is practicing Islam around a kafir they must be bad, since Mohammed was never good to kafirs.”
“The problem is that Mohammed annihilated every kafir he ever met.”

In addtition to questioning the correctness of the above statements, I would like to affirm that whatever has been referred to from Quran or Sunnah is about the enemies at war, not kafirs. Alien enemies being at war meet the same rather worse treatment by the most civilized countries in this 21st century.

Jack says: All these peace-Islam fractions are worthless. If you engage in dialogue with them, they cannot tell you anything new anyhow. Therefore I find it much better to hear some real people. One may not agree of course, but people to not engage in lying all the time.

There are almost 1.5 billion Muslims in the world. It would be unfair to call some deviants the ‘real people’.

I am hoping for honest appraisal in the right perspective.

  4. A person who follows the life of our prophet and faith in Allah, he is a good Muslim in this world and the hereafter insha Allah.

Hesperado, I guess i am really only agreeing with what you said concerning Jack’s statements. I never cease to be amused and amazed at the number of otherwise rational people who try to tack the values and morals of Western civilization onto the totally alien civilization of the umma As Kipling wrote, “the east is east and the west is west and never the twain shall meet”.

    jack writes:

“Muslims nowadays are completely unaware of all this. They treat their religion just as Christians treat theirs. Picking whats nice, leaving the hard parts, not knowing their own books. Thats a part of globalisation as well. Everthing is mixed up and the new religion is indeed democracy and human rights and so on.”

jack offers no evidence for this sweeping generalization about Muslims. How does he know that the 1.2 billion Muslims in their vast diaspora around the world from the Pacific to the Atlantic and with millions within the West are sociologically and psychologically exactly like Western Christians in their degree of relative erosion of dogmatic faith?

In fact, from all indications we have, it is reasonable to assume that Muslims are significantly less religiously erodied and thus more amenable to “fundamentalism” and religious fanaticism than are Western Christians. Surveys and polls, for example — to take one example from a turban out of thousands — show that over 70% of Pakistani Muslims support the death penalty for blasphemy. There is not one single country or region of a country where one would find anything remotely comparable among Christians (or among any other followers of any other religion).

There are thousands of different examples that would show the marked disparity between Muslims and Christians in this matter.

It would seem that jack is simply superimposing an abstract and artificial assumption — that Muslims must be exactly like everyone else and thus must show approximately (or even exactly) the same breakdown in dogmatic fanaticism as everyone else in the world because, well, “globalization” affects everyone equally, right?

    hi guys,

Bill is right in regard to some matters and wrong in others. Muslims must have hatred and enmity towards non-muslims. This is found in the Quran when Ibrahim (Abraham) talked to his people and his father. This is called the “Millat Ibrahim”. So Muslims are obliged to make clear they stance towards other gods and religions and are called to insult them as Ibrahim did. After that they have to invite people to Islam. Once they accept it, the new Muslim becomes part of their community. If the refuses he earns hatred and enmity. As explained by their scholars. Hatred is a feeling but enmity is action (jihad).

However, even if people refuse Islam, that is no free ticket for them to cut them down. There are rules indeed. These rules are simply not compatible with human rights. Non-Muslims may not propagate their religion, they may not criticise, they may not be linked to the enemies, they must pay a fee for protection (jiziyyah), they may not wear same clothes as Muslims and so on. So its heavy. But it is clear and straightforward. These rules were not violated by Muslims.

Bill made completely wrong statements about “bad Muslims”. There are many categories for Muslims with certain conduct, failures etc. in the Quran. And there are a few sins which make them left the fold of Islam. So he did not understood these categories at all.

Muslims nowadays are completely unaware of all this. They treat their religion just as Christians treat theirs. Picking whats nice, leaving the hard parts, not knowing their own books. Thats a part of globalisation as well. Everthing is mixed up and the new religion is indeed democracy and human rights and so on. So thats the platform on which fake-Muslims can team up with fake-Christians holding hands, being friends and ignoring their religious obligations completely. United in ignorance.

Once there is a guy understanding his religion, he is called terrorist or at least extremist. Look at Anjem Choudary in the UK. I mean non- and fake-Muslims are shocked by what he is saying but he has a point. This guy is straighforward and won´t lie about his religion. All these peace-Islam fractions are worthless. If you engage in dialogue with them, they cannot tell you anything new anyhow. Therefore I find it much better to hear some real people. One may not agree of course, but people to not engage in lying all the time.

Anyhow, thats just a short comment.

I was asked by a friend about this ….

“Muslims treat other Muslims as brothers and sisters, but they can treat a kafir well or they can treat them as less than an animal.”

    His question was…

“Why do they treat each other with such animosity? Especially the women of the Muslim faith.”

Taqiyya is a doctrine that allows Moslems to fain outward friendliness.

Dr. Nidal Hasan used taqiyya as he prepared his personal jihad against unarmed people in the style of assassinations in the hadiths.

AB writes: ‘quran it says you are not allowed to kill any innocent people only for defence when people try to destroy your religion’

Quite right! Killing those in this forum would be allowed according to AB, since they are criticizing the foundation of Islam as political cult using religion as justification for crimes against humanity.

    Ibn Kathir wrote:

BELIEVERS ARE ALLOWED TO SHOW FRIENDSHIP TO THE DISBELIEVERS OUTWARDLY, BUT NEVER INWARDLY. For instance, Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Ad-Darda’ said, “We smile in the face of some people ALTHOUGH OUR HEARTS CURSE THEM.” Al-Bukhari said that Al-Hasan said, “The Tuqyah is allowed until the Day of Resurrection.”

The ‘good’ Moslem at work in most cases will be following Ibn Kathir (smile in the face while our hearts curse).

If not, any genuine friendship given by a Moslem to a kafir is a serious sin against the words of Allah: “Do not support al kafirs in any way.” -Koran 28:86

Tahan wrote: “Just for the record Prophet Mohammed treated his Jewish neighbor in the kindest way you would ever think about and that applied for all the Muslims around him.”

Mohammed enriched himself immensely by his genocide of Yathrib Jews, thus confiscating their homes, property, goods, women and children (as slaves).
(Sources: Ibn Ishaq, pp. 463-64; Tabari vol. 8, p. 34.) Around 600-900 men and pubescent boys were killed by decapitation in the public square. (Ibn Hishaq p. 464).

The following hadith encourages future genocide of all Jews.

    Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 177:
    Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. “O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.”
Jihad is a form of ethnic cleansing and genocide in which the host population dies to enrich the jihadists. This form of ethnic cleansing comes directly from Allah and was approved by all Muslim scholars including the Sheikh al-Islam Taymiyya.

AB wrote: “lol this is wrong jihad is pure defence in quran it says you are not allowed to kill any innocent people only for defence when people try to destroy your religion”

Words, in Islam, mean whatever the Islamist wants them to mean. Take for instance the word, ‘defence’ above. AB apparently doesn’t realize that all jihad is ‘defensive’ since it defends the rights of Allah to impose his rule over kafirs through military jihad, deception, rape, torture, theft, etc.

AB obviously feels the readers of CPSI are novices who will be taken in by taqiyya or kitman.

By the way, Koran 5:33 does require the ‘good’ Muslim to kill”even to commit murder, that is, a non-judicial, vigilante-style killing of those who disagree with Mohammed.

SHAKIR version: “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement”

Mohammed made it clear in several places he approved of non-judicial, vigilante murders of his opponents. The following is one of the more explicit ones.

Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Whosoever among you sees an act of wrong should change it with his (own) hands.”- Sahih Muslim (49).

So you see, AB, you are either committing a big taqiyya and trying to mislead us, or you don’t know much about Islam.

yes a nice muslim is a good human for example no killing.staeling, drinking or any barbaric things like christians do and to let you know as a good christian he women must wear a hijab too this all is wrong jihad is pure defence his guy is brainwashed the 5 pillars of islam are 1. Shahada
to say “There is no true God except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”

    2. Prayer (Salat)

    3. Fasting (Saum)
    1. The month of Ramadan is the month of fasting in Islam. It is an act of worship where the faithful follower denies his own needs and seeks Allah. Usually, this fasting entails no drinking, eating, or sexual relations during the daylight hours for the entire month of Ramadan.

    4. Alms-giving or charity (Zakat)
    1. Charity given to the poor. It benefits the poor and it helps the giver by moving him towards more holiness and submission to Allah. Alms-giving is considered a form of worship to God.

    5. Pilgrimage (Hajj)
    1. This is the pilgrimage to Mecca. All Muslims, if they are able, are to make a pilgrimage to Mecca. It involves financial sacrifice and is an act of worship. Muslims must make the pilgrimage the first half of the last month of the lunar year

when you do this 5 things you are a fullly muslim you can read it in quran and in all sites of the world when you do this you are a muslim not more this is fact

Tahan protested (January 9, 2010 @ 9:38 AM) that “You are Totally wrong about every concept in your article”.

Yet tahan doesn’t make a case systematically against “every concept”. Maybe tahan expects Bill Warner to do tahan’s work. Tahan could have inquired, “what precisely do you mean by “the Golden Rule”? There are different formulations, in which case you ought to state the one you mean or to write “the Golden Rules.” Next tahan could have passage(s) in Islamic scripture which, according to tahan, contradicts Warner’s claim.

But tahan didn’t do so. In fact, it’s not even clear that tahan understood every concept.

Does this Islamophile understand that Bill Warner’s case against Islam is more persausive thereby?

Thanks to Bill Warner for a fine article describing the enormous moral blind spot of Moslems. After years of constant indoctrination Moslems simply lack moral objections to Mohammed’s obvious cruelty and depravity. They are blinkered to them and buy into Mohammed’s malignant narcissism. They see kafirs as animals.

Mumin Salih, an ex-Moslem confesses: “I was reluctant to write the story of my departure from Islam, because it lacks any of the moral elements of the kind mentioned in some of the touching testimonies published on the Internet. I cannot claim that I wasn’t aware of Mohammed’s assassinations of his adversaries, because I read about it and accepted it as a justifiable action against the enemies of Allah. Neither can I claim that I wasn’t aware of Mohammed’s pedophilic marriage to Aysha, because I knew about it and accepted it as a perfectly normal practice during Mohammed’s time. Without raising an eyebrow, I also read about Mohammed’s genocide of the Jewish tribe of Bani Quryza. I had developed the concept that committing Islamic genocides against the Jews are no more disturbing to an Arab than slaughtering a herd of cattle.”

For Salih, a serious grammarian, the languages mistakes and blunders in the Koran were much more upsetting. ‘I wondered why Allah couldn’t write couldn’t write a better book.’ It was the excruciating botchery of the Koran that convinced him Islam was a fraud.

We should not be surprised so many Moslem terrorists seem seem ‘nice’on the surface. I am sure Dr. Nidal Hasan and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab seemed nice in the way we use the word. I am sure if I met Osama bin Laden, before he was a terrorist, I would have found him ‘nice'”a nice middle class man with good manners.

Traudl Junge was Hitler’s personal secretary for 4 years. She didn’t think about politics, history or current events. She found Hitler ‘fatherly'”He was a pleasant older man who welcomed us with real friendliness.”

Twenty years later, she grew a conscience and felt great guilt for “…liking the greatest criminal ever to have lived.” It was then she realized that knowlegeable or not, she could have said ‘no’ to working for this ‘nice’ monster.

Bill Warner is right: when Mohammedans in our society don’t get what they want, they will eventually turn off the ‘nice’. That is what their hero Mohammed did.

To gain perspective, I ask people to look at pictures of Auschwitz guards showing ‘nice’ people relaxing after work.

You are Totally wrong about every concept in your article.
Muslims do not consider (Ahl Al Kitab) Kafir, because the prophet Mohammed gave them permission to stay with the Muslims in Al Madeena.
And If there was some deception in the term of Jihad, this is not applied to all Muslims.
When Muslims went to Al Habasha they negotiated with the Najashi and when they where about to give up they did not attack him.
Just for the record Prophet Mohammed treated his Jewish neighbor in the kindest way you would ever think about and that applied for all the Muslims around him.
